Building on Asphar Survey’s history of involvement in rail alignment surveys, we are updating our track measurement equipment to include the latest from Amberg.
Previous rail projects which have been carried out, include 47 Gantry Crane Rail alignments, Wharf C and D Shiploader rail alignments for BHP Rapid Growth Projects, survey of rail bridges for John Holland and MLJV for the 220 km rail duplication.

The Amberg GRP5000 track trolley.
This system allows measurement of horizontal and vertical alignment, gauge, and superelevation of up to 30km per day to the highest accuracies.
The system incorporates laser scanning to provide tunnel profiling for clearance checking, and infrastructure pickup and detailing.

This enhances our ability to provide the best and most cost effective rail measurement capabilities. Asphar is using this technology for brownfields and greenfields projects for QR National, Cockburn Cement.
Asphar is looking to utilise this technology on future rail projects such as the Karara Rail Infrastructure Project, Australian Premium Iron Project, Oakajee Rail, FMG Rail expansions, Rio Tinto Rail Duplications, Perth Underground City Link.
